6 wonderful films from the masters of on screen entertainment. South PAcific Charting two love stories set in the Pacific Islands in WWII one ill fated and one stormy Brilliant score with classic such as "Some Enchanted Evening". Carosel when can keep a dry eye when Billy Bigalow returns to see his daughter graduate to the strains of "You'll Never Walk Alone" other songs include June is bustin out all over. Oklahoma "where the wind comes burtin down the plane" a marvellous film with award winning score from the Masters. The King and I another clasic not to be missed. State fair possibly the least known and acclaimed in the collection but some classic film songs nevertheless. Who can not know The Sound of Music, Julie Andrews evergreen film set in the mountains aroung Salzburg.

This collection of DVD's is a must for all lovers of the very best musical films of the 20th Century thoughly watchable time after time.

The magic of the closed curtains, the crescendo, the lights down, the(somewhat) crackly soundtrack (in the early days). These DVD's will bring all the spendour of those days right into your living room without the crackle and in crystal clear sound and picture. Simple stories told enchantingly. Love, hardship, triumph. Sheer escapism. Familiar songs to sing along with, plots that one can understand. A beginning, a middle and end.
