Please note that although Amazon.co.uk and other sites describe screen format as widescreen, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "Guys and Dolls" come in the old 4:3 format. This is very disapointing when widescreen versions of these films have been on sale for a long time - and I suspect picture quality has also been compromised. (Compare "Guys and Dolls" to "Man of La Mancha")

I got this set because it seemed outstanding value, but if the information on Amazon and other websites had been accurate, I probably would have invested in buying these films singly.

Amazon - please take note, and list the specifications for each film in a box set.

Whilst products of their times, these DVD's are not by any means dated. Wonderful songs, dancing, colours. Each DVD has at least one production number to justify the cost of the disk, whilst 'America' from West Side Story of course justifies the cost of the entire set
